I think Esmerelda works because the rate of unplanned interactions with people you love and respect is very high.
It's also about the ease of spontaneous living. I can bump into a friend and we can agree that we need a coffee and walk across the plaza to get it and have a 15 minute moment of connection built in to our workday.
For that to work, you need a walkable setting and common knowledge of accessible spaces. Here, we all know that we can hang out in the lobby of Hotel Healdsburg, at 332 East, at Hotel Trio, at local coffee shops.
We can recreate this in the Neighborhood. Each house's common space can open up during a conference week (or two weeks), people can work during the day, and we can share locations with your circles via Flock throughout the day and at night.
